There is no car to assemble, no rails to hang and the wiring is complete. Once the elevator is in place, it is just like every other elevator you have installed, just without all the heavy lifting, pulling wires and cab assembly in a cramped hoistway.
Your responsibilities are the following:
- Obtaining the permits.
- Meeting the truck and inspecting the load.
- Set and plumb the hoistway.
- Set the machine room.
- Connect the wiring.
- Run hydraulic lines and fill the tank.
- Start up, test and adjust.
- Supervise inspection.
In addition, it is important to coordinate with the other trades and general contractor on timing and completion.
